WordPress Care
Keep a live WordPress property updated, watched and recoverable.
A maintenance cadence for core and plugin updates, backups, monitoring, bug fixes, editor support and security hygiene on sites that are already in production.

After launch
A live WordPress site drifts unless someone owns the cadence.
Updates, backups, monitoring and small fixes are unglamorous work, and they are why production sites stay usable. Maintenance here is a named rhythm: what we update, what we watch, how backups are tested, and how editor requests are triaged. Security hygiene is part of that rhythm. We do not promise that a site will never go down, and we will not sell maintenance as a guarantee against every plugin conflict.

Typical constraints
Neglect shows up as a surprise, usually on a campaign day.
- 01Core, theme and plugin updates have been deferred until something breaks in public.
- 02Backups exist in theory, but nobody has restored one recently.
- 03There is no monitoring, so the first alert is a customer email.
- 04Small bugs and editor requests sit in a shared inbox with no triage.
- 05Security updates are applied late or not at all because nobody owns the risk.
- 06The only person who understands the stack has left, and every change feels unsafe.
What you receive
A written cadence, not a vague promise to keep an eye on it.
The retainer is scoped from the stack and the traffic the site actually has. Emergency work is defined so it is not confused with new features.
01
Update cadence
A schedule for core, theme and plugin updates, including which changes need a staging check first.
02
Backup and restore practice
Backups with a restore test, so recovery is a procedure rather than a hope.
03
Monitoring and alerts
Uptime, error and selected security signals with an agreed response window, not a 24/7 claim we cannot keep.
04
Bug and editor support
A triage path for defects and small content or CMS issues that should not become a project.
05
Security hygiene inside the retainer
Role review, abandoned plugin removal and update discipline. Deeper hardening is scoped as WordPress Security.
How maintenance is run
Inventory, then a rhythm, then honest triage.
We start by knowing what is installed and what would hurt if it failed. New features are not smuggled into a maintenance hour.
01
Stack inventory
Theme, plugins, hosting, users and known debt are listed so the retainer is priced against reality.
02
Update rhythm
What is updated automatically, what waits for staging, and what is frozen until a project exists.
03
Backup and restore
Backups are configured and a restore is tested so we know the recovery path works.
04
Monitoring setup
Alerts are pointed at people who can act, with a response window that matches the retainer.
05
Issue triage
Bugs, editor requests and security notices are sorted into maintenance, project or out of scope.
06
Monthly review
What changed, what failed, and which debt is becoming a project. No vanity dashboard.
When this is the right entry
Maintenance is for sites that are already earning their keep.
- A launched WordPress site with no owner for updates, backups or plugin conflicts.
- A marketing team that needs a short path for bugs and small CMS changes.
- A property that was built well and will now accumulate risk if nobody watches it.
- A company that tried ad-hoc freelancer hours and lost the history of what changed.
- A site that needs security hygiene without a full hardening project on day one.
What we judge
Maintenance succeeds when surprises get smaller and recovery is possible.
A known update rhythm
Core and plugins move on a schedule, with staging used where the risk is real.
A recovery path that has been tested
Backups are not a checkbox. Someone has restored from them.
Support that does not invent scope
Editor help and bugs are handled. New features are named as projects instead of hidden in retainers.
Related work
Maintenance is judged on process, not on a highlight reel.
We do not publish fake uptime percentages. When a maintained site is cleared as a case, it appears in Work with the actual constraint named.
Published case studies will appear here when they are cleared.

Questions
Buying questions, answered directly.
No. Updates, hosting incidents and plugin conflicts can take a site offline. We reduce that risk with staging, backups and monitoring, and we define a response path. We will not sell an impossible promise.
Next move
Maintenance is a cadence, not a panic button.
Tell us what is installed, who hosts it and what broke last time. We will say whether a retainer, a security pass or a rebuild is the honest next step.
